Former song-writer and front-woman for the Catalan band Ninette & the Goldfish, Nina Thomas is a French-Spanish Documentary and Commercial Editor/Director based in Barcelona and with ties both in New York City and Paris.
She has worked on commercials and branded content pieces for clients such as Toyota, Astier de Villatte, Hotels.com, ShopBop, Smartwater or Tequila Don Julio. Some of her editorial work has been featured in VICE, GQ Magazine, Condé Nast Traveler, Esquire and VOGUE.
In the Film world she has edited the short Doc LOVE FROM AFAR, which was presented at Yale University in 2018, and the biographical and neuroscience focused film THE ART OF OSTAD, which premiered at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2019. In 2020 she finished editing the acclaimed environmental feature Doc UMA: A Water Crisis in Bolivia.
Following her love for music, she made her directorial debut with the music video My Lover, I Don’t Need You for which she was awarded Best Director at the Austin Under the Stars Film Festival, and directed her second music video in 2025 for french electropop singer MAËVANE, Monologue du Bassin. Her first feature Doc LA ESTRELLA, Lost in Time (Rusty Bones Media), co-directed with Joan Gascón is set to premiere in 2026. She is currently directing her second film, TINY APPLE (Opposite Sea Productions), alongside co-director Joanna Aliano.
In 2025 she co-founded the production company RUSTY BONES MEDIA with production partner Neil Innes.
