Former singer/song-writer for the Catalan band Ninette & the Goldfish, Nina Thomas is a French-Spanish Documentary and Commercial Editor/Director based in Barcelona and with ties both in New York City and Paris.

For the past decade she has worked on commercials and branded content pieces featured in platforms such as VICE, GQ Magazine, Condé Nast Traveler, Esquire and VOGUE.

Her passion for Documentaries has led her to edit a wide range of films. From immigrant stories like the short film LOVE FROM AFAR, or biographical films like THE NEW YORKER THEATRE: A Talbot Legacy and THE ART OF OSTAD, to environmental films, such as the feature film UMA: A Water Crisis in Bolivia, Nina’s interest for human stories does not fit in one box.

Following her love for music, she made her directorial debut in 2019 with the music video My Lover, I Don’t Need You for which she was awarded Best Director at the Austin Under the Stars Film Festival. Since then she has directed music videos for french electropop singer MAËVANE, Monologue du Bassin and A La Maison, and for the post-punk band CRANC. Her first feature film LA ESTRELLA, Lost in Time (Rusty Bones Media), co-directed with Joan Gascon is set to premiere in 2026. She is currently directing her second film, TINY APPLE (Opposite Sea Productions), alongside co-director Joanna Aliano.

In 2025 she co-founded the boutique production company RUSTY BONES MEDIA with production partner Neil Innes.
